Calendar of Courses
Registration
Complete the registration form and mail or fax it to the the academy. All classes approved for POST training credit. Participants will receive a certificate of completion. All classes begin at 8:00 a.m., unless otherwise stated. There is no tuition for certified law enforcement officers, however, supplies are required for certain advanced/specialized training courses.
Dress Code
Appropriate civilian clothing or departmental uniform is excepted. Dress not acceptable is: sweats, shorts, jeans or t-shirts, etc.
Tuition
Certified law enforcement and support staff employees by municipal, county, or state public safety agencies may attend courses at no cost. Employees of federal, out-of-state, and private sector organizations may attend on a space available basis at a cost of $10.00 per clock hour.
Cancellation
Please cancel any reservation for classes that you will be unable to attend. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Entrance Examination
Candidates for the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course must pass the entrance examination as part of the application process for admittance to the course. Students must present a picture ID and an access form to take the examination. The Examination is given at 2:00 p.m. every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month in room 102 of the Law Enforcement Training Center.

Applications for the Advanced and Intermediate Certificates may be obtained from the Academy or the POST website, www.gapost.org.
NOTE: Students must keep a copy of all the diplomas for the Advanced and Intermediate Courses they have attended. These copies must accompany the completed applications and be sent to the Academy for the Academy Director's signature. The Academy will forward the applications to POST.
Each level of certification, Intermediate and Advanced, requires ten (10) quarter hours of college credit or the semester equivalent.
